Bricky’s design, a giant brick, sparked comparisons with Cruz Azulito, the cement sack that represents Cruz Azul. Cruz Azulito, created in 2023 and also inspired by construction materials, gained popularity for its dances and appearances at the Mexican club’s matches.

The meaning of the mascots

Although both mascots share a construction theme, their origins differ: Bricky is linked to MKM Building Supplies and MKM Stadium, while Cruz Azulito draws from the historic cement sacks of Cemento Cruz Azul. There is no official relationship between the two, but fans have jokingly dubbed them “separated at birth.”
